Scoliosis and Vitamine D

Various theories have been proposed about the cause of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. However, studies have been conducted in recent years on the effect of vitamin D deficiency or deficiency on scoliosis. Vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency are common in adolescents, including AIS patients. A number of studies conducted in Hong Kong have shown that 30% of these patients have osteopenia.
