Prof. Dr. Erbil Oğuz , Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist
He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1988.
He joined the Air Force in 1989.
He received his specialization from GATA Orthopedics and Traumatology Department in 1996.
He worked as an Orthopedic Specialist at Etimesgut Air Hospital until 2000.
He worked as an assistant professor at GATA Orthopedics and Traumatology Department between 2000 and 2007, and as an associate professor between 2007 and 2013.
During this period; Between 2004 and 2005, he participated in research projects in the field of spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Philadelphia, USA.
He became a professor in 2014.
Between September 2013 and August 2016, he served as GATA Medical Design and Production President and GATA Orthopedics and Traumatology Department faculty member.
As of August 2016, he retired and settled in Istanbul. He carries out his studies within the body of "Spinal Station - Istanbul Scoliosis School", of which he is the founding president, and another center of which he is the founder, and "Custom Medical", which works on the use of 3D printer technologies in the medical field, where research on the treatment of spinal diseases is carried out.
He is particularly interested in spine surgery and old age-related orthopedic and joint diseases, and conducts research on bioimplant technologies. He has many national and international articles, chapter authorship and chapter translations in national and international scientific books. He works as an executive and researcher in scientific projects on scoliosis, orthopedic implant production, cell culture and stem cells.
